At first, when you look inside of a computer, it may seem very intimidating. Although it may seem like chaos trying to find what is what, it is very simple to identify the major parts. Simply put, there are eight parts needed to build a computer:
  1. CPU
  2. Motherboard
  3. RAM
  4. Hard Drive or  Solid State Drive
  5. Optical Drive
  6. Video Card
  7. Power Supply
  8. Case
Throughout this guide, you will learn what statistics to look for in each part, how to decide what parts work together and how to build a well balanced computer. I like to gauge my price points so the computer will be about $1000~$1200. You can adjust this to suit your needs.
